| Löpsedel_ - SWEDISH COMPETITION AUTHORITY CLEARS APM TERMINALS TO TAKE OVER SKANDIA CONTAINER TERMINAL AB 
The Swedish Competition Authority has now approved the acquisition of Skandia Container Terminal at the Port of Gothenburg Terminal by APM Terminals. The take-over will take place in January 2012.
Keld Pedersen has been appointed new CEO of Skandia Container Terminal (SCT) and his appointment will be effective from the 15th of February. Keld Pedersen is Danish and is 45 years old with extensive experience in terminal operations from different part of the world and has long worked in both AP Moller-Maersk as APM Terminals. Keld Pedersen comes from the Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia where he has worked as a chief operating officer.
On the 11th of October this year APM Terminals signed the contract to operate the SCT Scandinavian’s largest container terminal. Last year the terminal handled approximately 800.000 container units (TEU’S) which is 60% of the Swedish Market.
APM-Terminals is one of the world’s leading terminal operators with 60 container terminals in 33 countries and is part of the Danish Group AP Moller-Maersk. Terminal operations are separated from and independent from Maersk Lines.
APM-Terminals have all the world’s major container shipping lines as clients. Their headquarter are situated in The Hague in Holland.
